P3/4 Learning Log

Inspired by Jennifer’s Diary,  a story written by Anne Fine,  we wrote our own diary entries.

We created eye catching posters to advertise ‘Carols around the Christmas Tree.’  The carols will take place on Thursday at 6.30pm on Dirleton Village Green.  Look out for our fantastic posters around the village.   We hope to see you there to join in the festive fun.

Thank you to all the parents that popped in on Wednesday for the curriculum afternoon.   It was lovely to see so many of you and the children really enjoyed sharing their learning with you.

To celebrate St. Andrew’s Day we attended P5/6’s assembly.  We thought it was great.  Well done P5/6!

To celebrate Book Week Scotland we brought in our favourite books to share with everyone.

In maths we have been using Mathletics to improve our numeracy and maths skills.

We have been researching the life of John Muir.  We created a time line of his life.

Looking through the eyes of John Muir we painted a landscape.  We took our design  inspiration from  David Hockney.

We dressed as brightly as we could on Friday morning to raise awareness of road safety.

P3/4 Learning Log

We have already started to think about Christmas!

Well, only for a day!

With help from very kind parents we made clay decorations.   We used lots of skills including rolling,  designing and painting

On Thursday we had a wonderful morning orienteering at Yellowcraigs.

We used our navigation skills to travel between different points on the map, called control points.

For Children in Need we had a Spotacular morning with lots of fun events taking place.

Thank you to everyone for donating so generously.
