As we are three Quality Improvement Officers down at the moment I’m doing my bit by taking on responsibility for the Musselburgh schools (and Knox Academy). I’m looking forward to working with the schools over the next couple of months until we have made appointments.

I managed to get round five schools this morning and it was useful to make contact at the beginning of the term. Hopefully I can visit aall of the other schools by the end of next week. I intend to use this time to drill down into the reality of the impact of our policies in schools on staff and pupils.

We are incredibly fortunate with the people we have on our quality improvement team and I only hope I can maintain the high standards they’ve set. Mind you with Maureen Jobson on my tail it’s unlikely I’ll be allowed to slacken off!!
