S1 Parent/Carer Consultation Evening
This is on Thursday 6 December from 5.30 – 8pm. Letters with times for booking appointments were handed to S1 students on 29 November: S1 Parents’ Evening
Students should try to make appointments for all of their subjects, in order to provide you with an overview of how they are getting on across the curriculum. Please ensure your son or daughter has made efforts to fill their appointment sheet.
We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday night!
Please can parent/carers phone before 9am with student absences? If you do not give a return date, please phone each day with the reason that your child is absent. Advice on Norovirus can be read here: Norovirus
S4,5 and 6 students have been given their prelim timetables. More information can be seen here: https://www.edubuzz.org/dunbargrammar/prelim-diet-2019/
Higher Modern Studies and Higher Politics MP Visit
Today, MP Martin Whitfield visited the school to speak to students studying Higher Modern Studies and Politics. They asked him a range of questions related to their courses and assignments.
Apprenticeship Awareness Day
On Tuesday our DYW Group held an Apprenticeship Awareness Day. Apprentices and Employers who attended the event shared their career journey, a typical workday, education requirements and details of the apprenticeships their organisation offers. This was an opportunity for students to speak with someone whose career choice interests them and to explore areas they may not have considered before.
Thank you so much to all the organisations who took part in the event, the students thoroughly enjoyed having you here to share your expertise. We have had so many positive comments about the experience already and we really appreciate your support in inspiring our students’ career plans. Your input will have such a valuable impact on their future.
On Thursday 29 November full reports were issued to all S3 students. Please contact the Guidance Department if you wish to discuss any issues.
