Our thanks go out to The Bistro staff who provided our students and staff with a delicious Christmas Lunch on Wednesday 12 December. We also had a lunch with our S6 prefects to thank them for their help throughout the year.
School of Rugby Update
Dunbar Grammar School of Rugby have been crowned Mitsubishi Grandis Conference winners. After being promoted to this conference following winning last year’s Outlander Conference it was always going to be a tough challenge. Credit to everyone involved for their hard work and commitment over the first part of the season to come out on top is just a fantastic achievement. DGS played in a conference with Preston Lodge, North Berwick, Royal High School, St Leonards & Madras and George Watsons B with points awarded over all 5 fixtures then accumulated into a whole school table.
There will be a presentation evening happening at Hallhill Friday 18 January where all players, coaches and supporters are invited to attend and celebrate this great achievement.
This is your last chance to buy tickets for the school Christmas Concert on Wednesday 19 December at 7pm. Tickets are available to purchase from the school office: £6 adult, £4 concessions. Please be quick to avoid disappointment, as this concert often sells out!
DGSC (Parent Council) Meeting
The next meeting is being held on Wednesday 19 December at 6.30pm in the Conference Room next to the school office, all parents and carers are welcome to attend. This will be a shortened meeting in order to allow attendance at the School Christmas Concert. The agenda and draft minutes from the meeting on 20 November can be read here: Minutes
Tickets for the S3/4 Christmas Dances are on sale to students in the social space at break and lunchtime, £3.50 each. The dance is being held on Monday 17 December 6.30-9.30pm. There will be a tuck shop selling drinks and snacks. Please note that there will also be free fruit on offer!
The S1/2 dance was on Tuesday and the S5/6 dance was on Thursday, and everyone had a great night! Thanks to all involved, and particular thanks to Mr Fraser.
