Students are able to hand in pocket money to their bus leader on Sunday/Monday.

Battlefields Trip 1 (Buses A and B)
Please can students going to Battlefields meet at 9.30am at the latest in the DGS car park on Sunday 12 May. Please can you park cars in the car park in designated spaces away from the coaches which will be parked where the school buses normally park. In the event of no spaces being available, please park on the street.
Please check the website next week for return arrangements. The coaches will be returning to Hallhill on Friday 17 May at approximately 3pm.
Battlefields Trip 2 (Buses C and D)
Please can students going to Battlefields meet at 9.30am at the latest in Hallhill car park on Monday 13 May.

S2 Activities Week
East Linton students will be dropped off in East Linton at approximately 1-1.15pm on Friday 17 May, on the way home from Edinburgh.
Please ensure that you keep an eye on the weather and that appropriate clothing is worn. Also, think of sunscreen in the event of sunshine! In the event of any student being absent, parents/carers should contact the school in the normal way.
S1 Activities Week
S1 students will be taking part in a range of activities based in school and the local area. Students should ensure they bring a water bottle, a snack and are appropriately dressed for the weather. Sensible footwear is crucial as activities may involve walking.
Could all S1 and S2 students that are taking part in the Youth Games on Tuesday 21 May please return their PC1 and letter to PE or the school office no later than Wednesday 15 May.
All pupils participating in Youth Games MUST register in Game Hall on Tuesday 21 May.
SQA Exceptional Circumstances Consideration Service
This SQA service supports candidates who have been unable to attend an externally assessed timetabled examination, or whose performance in an externally assessed timetabled examination may have been fundamentally affected as a result of an incident beyond their control. The service exists to support only those candidates who have suffered an exceptional circumstance, such as bereavement or a medical condition. If a student is unwell on the day of an examination and cannot attend, a note from the Doctor must be obtained and the school informed immediately. It is always recommended that a candidate sits the examination where possible. Sitting the examination does not exclude the candidate from having an exceptional circumstances request submitted on their behalf.

Common School Day
A reminder that we will move to the common school day with the new timetable from Monday 3 June 2019. Below is a reminder of the new period times:
Home to school transport changes for the common school day will be published on the 20 May 2019. The reason for this is to stop any confusion with the existing routes/services and link with the new bus pass program. Any questions can be directed to email@example.com

S3 Ceremony – Save the Date
The S3 ceremony will take place on Tuesday 28 May from 2pm – 3.45pm at the school. Invite letters for all S3 parents/carers will be issued soon.

Join us for what’s guaranteed to be an evening of fun and laughter to raise funds for our school! No previous Bunko experience required as this fast paced dice game is easy to learn and all about luck not skill!

The Learning Resource Centre (Library)
Our new Learning Resource Centre is available for senior students to use for study during term time from 4-5pm Monday – Thursday. Students will need to sign in at the school office to use this facility.
