Update 3 September 2021

Documents out this week:

Information Update

A pack is going home with students over the next week containing a PC1 and an Annual Data Check form which is required to be checked by parent/carers, updated as appropriate, signed and returned. Packs will contain photo permission forms and school closure forms if we do not hold a copy on file.

If you have no email address, it is essential that you inform the school. Where this is the case, the weekly email information is automatically updated on our website.

DGSC Meeting

The next DGSC meeting will be held online on Tuesday 7th September.  The AGM will start at 6.30pm and be followed by the usual meeting at 7pm. Please email parentcouncil@dunbargrammar.elcschool.org.uk for a Google meeting link if you would like to attend.

NHS Flu Vaccinations

From academic year 2021/22 the flu vaccine is available to all primary and secondary school pupils. We are scheduled to have flu vaccinations carried out in school on Monday 8 November.

Flu vaccination forms were sent home with students on Wednesday and must be returned to school by Monday 6 September.

Most students will be provided with the nasal flu vaccine. On the same day the Community Vaccine Team will provide injections for the very few students who for clinical or religious reasons require a flu injection.

If you have any concerns or questions regarding this please contact Tracy Gillespie via admin@dunbargrammar.elcschool.org.uk.

Invigilators wanted for May 2022 examinations

We are looking to increase the number of invigilators we have to support the examinations in May 2022.  If you are interested in taking up this role, or know someone who might be interested, can you please email admin@dunbargrammar.elcschool.org.uk

LFD Testing

If your young person has already signed up for the testing programme, they can collect test kits from Mrs Gillespie in the Medical Room at break and lunch.  Over the next week we will be starting a system whereby test kits are delivered to students who have signed up, at registration.

If your young person has not yet signed up for the programme but would like to, we ask that a parent/carer complete this online consent form. More information about LFD and community testing can be found here.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at admin@dunbargrammar.elcschool.org.uk

If your young person tests positive for COVID, please email covidinschools@eastlothian.gov.uk
