Tomorrow ( Friday) Dunbar Primary School are proud to be holding a dress down day & cake sale for all pupils (nursery and school pupils) to support childhood cancer awareness month. Hopefully none of our pupils & their families will ever have to face the horrendous reality of childhood cancer but there are also things we can all do to help.
Know the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer as early diagnosis & treatment saves lives
Give blood as children often require numerous life saving blood transfusions whilst receiving cancer treatment
Sign up as a potential stem cell donor – either through Anthony Nolan (for the under 30s) https://www.anthonynolan.org/8-ways-you-could-save-life/donate-your-stem-cells/you’re-match-what-happens-next or DKMS (for those aged up to 55) https://www.dkms.org.uk/en/register-now.
Finally if you are able to help at either school campus tomorrow at morning break (10am) with the cake sale and/or if you can do some home baking or donate bought cakes for the sale that would be amazing.
