Dunbar Primary ARCH Fortnight

Dunbar Primary School ARCH Fortnight 15th – 26th June 2020

Activities will be posted to all pupils via Google Classroom.

Parents can access the activities  for the two weeks below.

For the final two weeks of term, we are providing a variety of activities linked to our school values, which are:

Ambition, Resilience, Community, Happiness (ARCH)  A is for AMBITION  Ambition means really wanting to do or achieve something.   R is for RESILIENCE  Resilience means being able to bounce back – not giving up if something is difficult, coping when something doesn’t  go the way you want it to, talking about how you are feeling and giving things your best shot.   C is for COMMUNITY  A Community is a group of people living or working together in the same area; we are all part of the community of  Dunbar Primary School – we help each other and we solve problems together.   H is for HAPPINESS  Happiness is a feeling connected to lots of things – when we do well in our learning, when we play with our friends,  when we have our favourite dinner, when we are content.

Parent Council Message – Community Video

A message from our Parent Council:

As we come to the end of this record breaking first ever lockdown experience, we would like our wonderful pupils, school workers, parents and teachers to come together in a digital project to celebrate one of our schools best community traditions…..we lent this tradition to the clap for carers, now its time to clap for our school and in particular our P3’s and P7’s.

We would like you to video yourselves clapping and celebrating, this can be with your family, siblings or just yourself. The videos only need to be short, anything from 15 seconds to a minute long but importantly must not exceed 100MB (you may need to help your parents with this!)

Videos can be recorded using your phone, tablet or computer and must be no more than 100MB.

They should be sent to:
Closing date for videos: Friday 19th of June

We would be most grateful of you could complete this short survey regarding your child’s return to school in August by Monday 15 June 2020 4pm.

Paper copies are available from your school by request.
