P4 have been learning about the depth of the ocean as part of our Great Barrier Reef project. We have been learning about the different layers of the ocean and some of the amazing creatures that live there. We created the ocean layers in a jar – see Google classroom if you want to try this at home – it can be a bit messy!
We have also been learning about how fish defend themselves against their predators. Fish have a variety of ways to fool their enemies, such as black eye, camouflage, moving in schools and poisonous stingers! We created our own beautiful fish to add to our growing barrier reef.
