Busy Time In Primary 5

Primary 5 have been learning how the church played an important part in Victorian times. They made beautiful press prints based on churches. The finished results will be uploaded soon……watch this space!
They also enjoyed a visit from the Dog Trust sharing with them how to be responsible owners and care for their dogs.
Two ladies from ABEL also came to talk to the children about respect for themselves and others.

Primary 4,5,6 and 7 enjoyed a wonderful performance from the Amalie Trio today. Three very talented performers kept the classes entertained and engaged for an hour playing the viola, the piano and singing. Many thanks for an inspiring morning!

P5 Christmas Post

It’s that time of year again. Primary 5 are running the Christmas post. Boxes and stamps can be bought at the post office, co-op and library. Stamps cost 20p. The last post will be Friday the 15th December.
A huge thanks to the post office, co-op and library who have helped us for many years now. Also a big ‘thank you’ in advance to all the parents who help to deliver the letters with their children. Your help is very much appreciated at this busy time of year.

Busy Term In Primary 5

Primary 5 have enjoyed learning about space as their topic. They made beautiful solar systems and did wonderful presentations to the class. They also wrote poems about space using excellent vocabulary. Well done Primary 5!
On Tuesday they enjoyed a taster session of club golf. If they are interested in joining a group information will be sent home so they can sign up.

Primary 3 Make The Iron Man

Primary 3 have been busy practising telling the time on an analogue clock.
They have also, as part of book week, taken part in a book scavenger hunt in the wildlife garden. Once they found a book with a particular character in it they had to answer some questions relating to it.
They have been studying ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes and have been designing and making iron men from junk. The finished results will be posted up later.

Busy Start To 2017 In Primary 3

Primary three have been working hard on their division skills and using this to help them work with fractions.
They have also been writing to inform about different aspects of health.
They also had very special little visitor in their class. Angus’s mum came in with new baby Rose. They all enjoyed meeting her very much. She was so good and even let lots of the children hold her. A big ‘thank you’ to Jill for bringing her in. But a special ‘thank you’ to little Rose for being such a star!

Well Done Primary 3!

Primary 3 did a fantastic job at sharing their learning with the school in their Egyptian assembly. They sang two songs beautifully and all the presentations were clearly heard. The musicians did a great job too. They all looked and sounded excellent. Well done Primary 3! Mrs Nyandwi is very proud of you.
