I am delighted to announce that the school has received a very generous donation towards the provision of the new Heinemann Active Maths resource. This has been gifted by a family in the school in memory of their mother who was a mathematician. Money has also been given by the Parent Council and we have ordered the resource for Early and First levels of Curriculum for Excellence which will complement Second level which we already have. This will be in place for the beginning of the new session and all the children in the school will benefit.
Thanks to the generosity of the audience at the summer concert last week we have reached our fundraising target for our partner class in India. The retiring collection made £95. Many thanks.
P5/6/7 sailors had a great time last Friday in the glorious sunshine at North Berwick. We got out on the water in Topper dinghies, firstly without sails and using paddles so we could learn to steer them and then later with sails when we got a bit more confident.
Here are some of our sailors!

Today is the launch of the projection onto Buckingham Palace.
Projection and Nationwide Digital Display
Every child’s self portrait will be used in a very special montage portrait of HM The Queen to be projected onto Buckingham Palace between 8.30pm – 11.15pm from 19th – 21st April. We are inviting everyone who has taken part in Face Britain to come and see the projection, which will be a spectacular sight, and are particularly keen for people to come to the switch on night on Thursday 19th April.
We realise that for the vast majority of those that have taken part in Face Britain it will not be possible to visit the projection in person. We are therefore delighted that the montage portrait of HM The Queen will also be simultaneously showcased on the national network of BBC Big Screens in town centres and via the network of JCDecaux digital advertising screens in train stations across the UK..
The Nursery parent/carer consultations due to take place today – Thursday 22nd March – have been postponed as Mrs Campbell is unwell.
