The Big Spring Clean

31240_streetscape_banner.jpgThis Friday (18th April) the whole school is taking part in “Keep Scotland Beautiful” Big Spring Clean.  We are going out and about in the village to give it a tidy up.  We are proud of our village and want to do our bit to show that we are responsible citizens who care for the environment we live in.  We would love to have some more parents and friends join us – if you give us a call beforehand on 860216 we can allocate you to a particular class.  If not, you can just turn up at school at 11am.

Keep Scotland Beautiful have supplied us with some bright yellow tabards so you won’t miss us, and the council are supplying us with protective gloves and litter pickers.

Suttons Seeds & Plants

If you would still like to place an order from Suttons catalogue, please send the forms and money to the school. Extra catalogues and forms are available from the school office.

20% of money spent will go to our Eco School to improve our playground.

Happy growing!

Our Wildlife Garden

It’s happening at last!

We have secured funding to make a start on our Wildlife Garden.

During the Easter break, contractors will be removing the tarmac on the east side of our playground and after that, it will be all systems go!

We are looking for volunteers to help with the back-breaking work which will follow. If you can spare a few hours, please get in touch with Mrs Gordon, Liz Dorrian or Helen Chandler.

Also, any extra plants you may have would be greatly appreciated. (perennials, ground cover plants and shrubs are best).

Plans for the new garden can be viewed at front of school. Pop in and take a look at what we are hoping to achieve.
