Staff training
This week our teaching and support staff took part in Restorative Practice training with Marie Prior our Family Support Worker and Laura Clark our Educational Psychologist. This was a really interesting session looking at restoring relationships between pupils after conflict and we were all struck by the many links with the Paul Dix approach to behaviour we are implementing this year of being Ready, Respectful and Safe.
Pupil Voice
Some of our pupils took part in a Pupil Focus Group today. We had representatives from across the school looking at Health and Wellbeing in our school community. We used statements and questions from the document How Good is OUR School to help our conversation along – great work everyone – we came up with a small list of actions
Community Police Officer visits P7
Our community police officer came in to visit P7 today as part of our topic, Risks to Health. She talked to us about drug awareness and answered our questions. The highlight definitely seemed to be getting put in the handcuffs!
