Primaries 5, 6 and 7 had a fantastic Christmas Party in East Linton Community Village Hall today! Everybody was up on the floor doing The Dashing White Sergeant, Military Two Step and Canadian Barn Dance as well as Disco Dancing Competitions and Games! Trudging through all the snow was definitely worth it as a good time was had by all!
P5 and P6 held a joint scottish dancing shin dig. We have some fantastic dancers in East Linton Primary School.
On Thursday we are dressing up as viking people and are battling P4 who are Romans.

Thanks to everyone who came and supported us on Friday morning. A fantastic £745 was raised, which will go to helping the flood victims in Pakistan. The children worked really hard and it was lovely to see so many people in school.
This term in PE Primary 5 have been doing gymnastics and learning different balances. Have a look at some of their balances.
Yesterday the P5 class went open canoeing on the Tyne and learned how the Vikings might have sailed their boats and carried them across the land. We did a number of problem solving activities to get the canoes on the water and then navigated a course up river on a raid to find our treasure. Here are some photos from the day.
On Friday 25thSeptember Primary 5 held a coffee morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Trust. The coffee morning was a great success and a total of £790 was raised. Tables filled up quickly in the hall and people gave generously in donations and at our stalls. There was a Fair Trade stall offering chocolate, tea bags and coffee. Also there was delicious home baking on offer. We had a lucky dip and raffle stall as well. Thank you to all our volunteers and all who visited us.

I hope you have all had a lovely summer holiday and I hope you all have a wonderful time back at school. I am very sad not to be there at East Linton this year, but I know you will all will have lots of fun this year. Good luck in your new classes and I will keep an eye out for all the wonderful things happening at East Linton.
Lots of Love
Next week is HEALTH WEEK!
We have some fantastic things planned, including the Healthy Cafe mentionned below by Miss Lawson.
Our focus is being healthy INSIDE AND OUT. So we are not just thinking about physical activity, but also eating well, relaxing and using our minds for creative and mental challenges.
Parents are invited to join in EARLY MORNING AEROBICS at 8.45am each morning. So pop on your trainers and come jump up and down to some good music.
Also if any parents wish to come on our WHOLE SCHOOL WALK, please give your name to your child’s teacher or to Audrey.
P.S Keep an eye out for photos from our week being posted!
