Congratulations to our heroes this week. Our focus was on Respect. You should all be so proud!
This week our teaching and support staff took part in Restorative Practice training with Marie Prior our Family Support Worker and Laura Clark our Educational Psychologist. This was a really interesting session looking at restoring relationships between pupils after conflict and we were all struck by the many links with the Paul Dix approach to behaviour we are implementing this year of being Ready, Respectful and Safe.
Some of our pupils took part in a Pupil Focus Group today. We had representatives from across the school looking at Health and Wellbeing in our school community. We used statements and questions from the document How Good is OUR School to help our conversation along – great work everyone – we came up with a small list of actions
Please find above , a summary of the day and some feedback from last week’s ELC Youth Summit

…….to everyone who supported our P7 Enterprise last night and to all the helpers behind the scenes. But…… most of all to my WONDERFUL Primary 7 pupils who worked SO hard preparing for, practising and performing in our Fairtrade Fashion Show, in association with Earth Matters. You are a credit to the School, your parents and most of all to…… YOURSELVES! You were all professional stars!
Photographs to follow…….
The jigsaw is now beginning to piece together for our P7 Fair Trade Fashion Show! Each child had to choose an aspect of “their Fairtrade country”, research several facts and display them on a piece of jigsaw which they have been fitting together today as part of another display, to add to their already beautifully created panels for the backdrop, at our event. To see the finished articles, come along tomorrow night to our Fairtrade Fortnight Enterprise, in association with Earth Matters. See you there!
