Glow’s new look


Today, December 10th 2012, all authority and school staff can now see the RM Unify interface when they log in to Glow. Pupils will then see the same shortly afterwards.  You can read more about it here on the Education Scotland blog.


Musical fundraiser – St. Mary’s Cathedral

Jeff Kinney, author of the mega-selling ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ book series comes to St. Mary’s cathedral on Wednesday 30th November at 7:00pm.  This musical evening is being held to raise funds for future music projects.  Click on the link to see further details. WIMPY KID – Cabin Fever Event


Glow Planned Maintenance


For 5 weekends between Sat 07 May and Sat 11 Jun there will be  maintenance work carried out to Glow. The current plan and the impact on service will be as follows:

Sat 07 May              Glow will be unavailable between 0800 and 1800.

Sat 21 May              Glow Web Hosting, Mailing Lists, Chat and Video Streaming will be   unavailable at times between 0800 and 1800.

Sat 28 May              Glow Messenger will be unavailable at times between 0800 and 1800.

Sat 04 Jun              Glow Learn will be unavailable at times between 0800 and 1800.

Sat 11 Jun              Glow Mail will be unavailable at times between 0800 and 1800.

ICT Conference place on offer May 20, 2011

   The MIICE (?Measuring the Impact of ICT in Children’s Education) conference will be held at the University of West of Scotland, Paisley on May 20.  Have a look at the agenda  –  ??there are some thought provoking items on it and  lively discussions are guaranteed to ensue. East Lothian Council has two free places for any staff that have a specific interest in this topic.  Transport will be provided.  If you would like to attend, email  Shirley Lawson, Education ICT officer
