We work with many dance companies to deliver performances and workshops at The Brunton for schools and communities. Some of these companies have produced online content for download to keep dance alive while we are in lockdown.
As new resources, videos and activities become available, we will continue to link them below:

Barrowland Ballet
AUDIO CLASS – FRIDAY 5TH JUNE
Barrowland Ballet have another fantastic audio class coming your way on Friday 5th June at 10.30am. Into the blue and learning to fly dance artist Molly Danter will be sharing her “Sound Score for movement meditation” on Mixcloud.
Molly says:
“I hoped to make it open and abstract enough that it might be enjoyed by anybody and in any space. I hope those who try this can enjoy the freedom of interpretation that being in your private space can give. My words came from a dance of improvisation and imagination, fed by tumbling thoughts of the overlap and interplay of self and other (people, critters, plants, the news, stories, gossip, weather), the pleasure and confusion of this constant play, and often bubbles of nonsense. I’d like to note my enjoyment in making this for unknown people in unknown places in unknown (to me) futures. That we can somehow share this short journey with a sense of spiralled time, together but a part. At once in different time. I hope you enjoy and thank you.
Tune in at 10.30am next Friday or access the class at any time that suits you.
Barrowland Ballet – Loose Leaf Tea is now available to stream.
Did you miss our dance film – Loose Leaf Tea when we shared it back in April? Or would you like the chance to watch it again? Then we’ve got great news.
We’re delighted to be able to reshare our dance films with you across June and July. Films will be released every 2 weeks on Tuesday evening and will then be available to watch, share and enjoy for a full fortnight.
We’re delighted to share #Wolf, our second film for June. At the heart of #Wolf is the interplay between being guided to the right path in life & choosing our own way. Not to invalidate advice given by others but to acknowledge that ultimately we must make our own choices.
#Wolf will be available to stream for 2 full weeks.
Shaper Caper
Children of the nation – we’ve got you!

Each day, we’ll embark on an epic adventure through dance. There will be pirates, monsters, wizards, witches, fairies and rockets!
So, feel free to share and get yourself ready, a wee adventure awaits! You’ll be back in time for lunch.

Starcatchers
Starcatchers have launched a new series of Wee Inspirations idea cards for parents at home with young children.
These are fun, creative ideas to engage little ones without a lot of kit, stress, nor pressure to ‘achieve’ anything.
They are inspired by artists who work across Starcatchers’ different areas of work including Creative Skills, our professional development programme for early year’s professionals and our community engagement programme.
To get started, download Welcome to Wee Inspirations.
