PL’s outdoor adventures in Activity Week

A group of S3s from Preston Lodge High school enjoyed the heat to undertake a couple of adventures in the Lammermuirs and Moorfoots last week.

On Wednesday the group journeyed from Hopes up and back over the mighty Lammer Law … the route up Sting Bank Burn (aka Death Valley) didn’t disappoint, with an abundance of both ripening and fresh sheep carcasses adding interest along the way.

On Thursday the group donned waterproofs and climbing gear over shorts and a T-shirts and enjoyed first climbing then abseilling back down the Linn Dean gorge at Soutra.

Thanks to Mr Bell, Ms Armstrong and Ms Lamarra for their help with the day … and well done to all the students for being up for the challenges.
