Cycle Ride Leader

Course Overview

This course covers the skills necessary to lead cycle rides on roads and on recognised cycle paths. Rides will usually be aimed at novice or inexperienced cyclists who want to become more active or are interested in exploring their local area by bike.

This is a certificated course. You will need your own bicycle.

Cycle Training Assistant

Course Overview
Cycle training assistants can deliver Bikeability Scotland training levels 1 and 2 to school age pupils. By completing the course you can go on to plan and deliver cycle training sessions using Bikeability Scotland resources. Further Information at Cycling Scotland.

Cycle Trainer

Course Overview
Cycle Trainers are able to deliver all three levels of the UK National Standard for Cycle Training to adults and Bikeability Scotland training to children.

This is a certificated course. You will need your own bicycle.

Pre-requisites
Minimum age 18
Must be an experienced cyclist and able to cycle at the Level 3 National Standard
Will be delivering cycle training (Bikeability Scotland) to children in your Local Authority

Mountain Bike Trail Leader

Cycling UK’s Mountain Bike Leader course enables you to lead groups on gentle terrain less than 600m above sea level and without the need for riders to steer a path around obstacles.  

The course includes tuition for your own off-road skills and assessment of your new-found skills. Through SAPOE we can offer this course at a minimal cost to any educator across the SEIC region
