Course summary:

Forestry First Aid is an essential ‘bolt-on’ for those working in any aspect of forestry or agricultural work, particularly those sectors involving machinery and ‘core operations’ such as planting, felling, harvesting, fencing and/or remote working.  

This qualification is highly recommended for professional tree surgeons, gardeners or those in the farming industry.  Learners must have a valid First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate to qualify for this training however, the qualification can also be taken as a module within another regulated first aid course.

  • Emergency planning and remote medical assistance
  • Catastrophic bleeding control
  • Crush injuries
  • Suspension trauma
  • Effects of heat and cold
  • Lyme disease

Assessment:

This course is assessed through practical observation.
