This course can be delivered as face to face learning or distanced learning. Online courses take a minimum of 7 learning hours, delivered over 2 half day sessions and individual assessment.
The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of common mental health conditions, start a supportive conversation and signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help.
Learners will not diagnose or treat mental health conditions as this can only be carried out by healthcare professionals, however they will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know where they can go to get help.
