The kitchen at The Old School House is well equipped with separate fridge and freezer. There is also a washing machine and dishwasher. It is situated off the dining room and there is a hatch for serving food.
The kitchen is constantly being reviewed and improvements made. New colour-coded chopping boards at the ready.
The sunny dining room is equipped not only for comfortable dining but can also act as an additional activity area.
Lamb is one of two twin rooms situated on the ground floor.
Isle of May is a four bunk dormitory on the ground floor as is Bass Rock, They share a shower-room with Lamb.
Staff room Fidra has its own en-suite shower-room.
Craigleith has three bunks and an en-suite shower-room. It is also situated on the ground floor.
Inchkeith sleeps six. It shares a shower-room with Inchcolm and is situated on the first floor.
Inchcolm is a two bunk room. It shares a shower-room with Inchkeith. It is located on the first floor.
Disabled access can be found at the front of the building.

The main entrance to The Old School House is at the rear of the property where the car park is situated.
To the rear of the Old School House are well-maintained gardens. There are plans to install a BBQ and picnic bench.
The drying room is situated by the main entrance. There is a rail at the right height for groups of children to use.
