Staff Development courses for Duke of Edinburgh Award

Looking to create a DofE programme at school or further develop the one that you have got? Particularly the expedition side of the award?

Your Outdoor Learning Service has opportunities to help this happen

  • DofE Expedition Supervisor Course – Wednesday 21st February 2018
  • DofE Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme – Wednesday 7th March 2018

These courses are FREE to all ELC employees and members of East Lothian VOLT (Volunteer Outdoor Learning Team)

Duke Of Edinburgh Award Scheme Support

We were delighted to run two courses for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme over the last couple of weeks.

  • DofE Expedition Accredited Assessor Scheme
  • DofE Expedition Supervisor Training Course

Both courses were well received by all participants and will mean an increase in young people accessing the outdoors with appropriate supervision and quality assessors for the Award Scheme.

DofE Gold: A Comprehensive Guide to the Cairngorms

Click below to watch ‘Gold DofE : A Comprehensive Guide to the Cairngorms.’ – the concluding film in The Haddington and Gifford DofE Trilogy. Expect to see this low budget/high production epic sweeping the awards at Cannes and Sundance.

Well done to Angus, Bethan, Ellie, Jacob, Lachlan, Naiomi and Perry for completing their Gold DofE exped in some decidedly inclement conditions.
