Tri-School Sports cont…..

Adam our Active Schools Co-Ordinator did a fantastic job and the whole day ran very smoothly. At lunch time Mc Haggis had a 75 point lead. In the afternoon we all took part in year stages flat races and that was where the points really started to mount up…..

At the end of the day the totals were…..

McHaggis 630

McSporan 700

Well Done to McSporan …… but watch out McHaggis will be training hard to win that trophy next year!

Here is a video of Adam announcing the winners and the trophy being presented my Richard Parker from East Lothian Council.

Tri-School Sports Day cont…..

The children were split up into 2 clans: McSporan and McHaggis. We earned points for having a go at each event and extra points for how well we did. All the children really got into it and were keen to support their team mates.

Tri-School Sports Day

Yesterday was our Tri-School Sports Day. We took part in lots of different olympic and paralympic sports along with the children from Saltoun Primary School and Humbie Primary School. We had a fantastic time and luckily the weather was great.

Why not watch this walking tour of the event to see some of the sports we took part in…..

Yesterday joined my some P6/7’s they put the final touches to this master piece. It has made such a difference to our corridor and will be enjoyed by everyone who visits our school.

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH MRS McLEOD!!

Leavers Assembly

Tissues at the ready….

Today we had our official Leavers Assembly for the P7 class of 2013. They all took part in a mastermind style quiz about their time at Elphinstone Primary School. We loved listening to all the memories they will carry forward with them as they move onto Ross High School and some of their hopes and dreams for the future……. But most of all we liked listening to the cringe worthy stories P6 had to share with us about the P7’s. 🙂 We will miss you all loads!

Elphy Eco Week – Thank you

What a week that was! A huge big thank you to everyone who got involved, bought in tools, gave up their time, planted, did weeding, painted, built a fence, attended our Open morning, contributed plants and seeds, washed muddy clothing at the end of each day…. We cannot thank you all enough! We achieved so much because we were a team! An ‘Elphy Eco week’ dream team!

Thanks from us all at EPS and the Eco Committee!
