Today we were writing a story about a Policeman…. and luckily enough one popped in to visit. PC Paterson stopped by to show us his uniform and tell us all about his job as a policeman. He told us that he very rarely has to chase robbers but spends his days helping people and making sure everyone feels safe.

He let us all have a shot of his hat and jacket. We even got to look at his handcuffs and baton. He told us he has, so far, never needed to use his baton ….. and he hopes it stays that way!

Today Chris came to show us some of the basics of Karate. We had lots of fun practising punches and kicks. We learned that you only do these with a trained instructor and not at home or out in the playground. Leaflets are in our message bags with all the times and venues for Chris’ beginners class.
