We welcomed our families into nursery for a mini Nature Kindergarten picnic.
The children were keen to show the grown ups their new skills and try their hand at some of our woodland activities. They shared their homemade monkey bread and had ‘smores’ cooked on the fire. They hammered some flowers and leaves that they’d picked, planted some seeds, made dens and played.
Thank you to everyone who came along and shared our picnic with us.
`Nursery took part in the mini mudder this week. All the children had a wonderful time tackling the obstacles and getting wet…again! Thank you to all the parents who came to help and support us on our physical challenge!
We have been welcoming four new starts into nursery since the Easter holidays. Our existing children have been enjoying showing them around and helping them to settle in.
The first sessions of our Nature Kindergarten have gone really well. The children have thoroughly enjoyed going to the woods and are keen to extend their play while they are there.
Here are some photos from some of our recent visits.
The remaining dates are:
25th April, 3rd May, 9th May, 17th May, 24th May, 30th May and 6th June
Please make sure you bring your children with warm clothes and wellies. It’s better to be warm and take a layer off than be too cold!
We’ve been enjoying Book Week in Nursery and reading some of our favourite stories. Some of our P6 friends joined us today to read some new books to us. They were great!
We celebrated pancake day in nursery today. We made our own pancakes then challenged ourselves to flip them.
Flip ’em and flop ’em
We seem to have resolved our technical issues (fingers crossed). Please watch this space for exciting updates on what we’ve been doing in nursery.
