Sarah’s talk on Auschwitz & Birkenau

Mrs Moore’s daughter, Sarah, visited the class to tell us about her visit to the WWII concentration camps as part of a student trip to Poland and Germany. She gave a very informative talk on what she saw and learned there.

Charlotte had chosen ‘The Holocaust’ as her research topic and so she was able to tell the class several additional facts that she had learned about Hitler’s treatment of the Jewish people. We also discussed Anne Frank’s family who were sent from Holland to the Polish concentration camp. Aimee, Erin and Amalea studied Anne Frank for their project booklets, and told us that she had sadly died only two weeks before Auschwitz was liberated by the allies.
