Torness Power Station

Posted on October 3, 2017 by Miss Jack

To enhance their learning about energy sources, P5/6/7 visited Torness Power Station to find out how Nuclear power contributes to Scotland’s provision of electricity. Thanks to edf and tour guides at Torness for a fantastic, informative visit. A has been inspired to create his own lego turbine, complete with security guard.

Outdoors on a beautiful, sunny day in the school grounds was the perfect venue for a morning of active maths. P1-7 buddied up to take part in measuring, timing, weighing, sorting, matching, searching, creating…and having LOTS of fun!
