P3/4/5 enjoy our board games

P3/4/5 pupils enjoyed a visit to our classroom to play the WWII board games. Everybody had time to play a couple of games they wanted to play. There was much laughter and excitement as people competed with each other to win. Comments on the different games were very positive and the buzz in the classroom clearly indicated that everybody was enjoying themselves.

Planting for Care

IMG_6161 Over the years, ‘Mini Pots of Care’ activity has raised over £3.8million- that’s a lot of daffodil pots and enough money to  provide nursing care for terminally ill in their own homes. Thank you for your donations and for your support in our forthcoming Yellow Day.  Below is a gallery of pictures showing our decorated pots.

Mrs Armitage’s Wheels!

Our buddy activity this week was to improve Mrs Armitage’s bicycle. The two classes enjoyed listening to the story of Mrs Armitage adding lots of unusual items to her bike. The P1/2 and P6/7 buddies came up with many wonderful and new inventions!

Buddying with P1/2

We have been getting to know our P1/2 buddies. It was fun chatting with them and finding out a few things about them:

Favourite food              Any pets?        Best toy     Favourite TV programme

Favourite place to go      What are you good at?    Something funny

Then it was time for an outdoor challenge and a game of Pink Elbow!
