Each year the Economic Development Team organise the Saltire Festival, which takes place at the end of November to celebrate St. Andrew’s Day. This is a series of family-friendly events, which celebrate all of the facets of Scottish culture – music, comedy, food and drink, history and the beautiful outdoors.

I would be very grateful if you could promote the events to the children and parents of your school. The full programme of events is available at www.saltirefestival.com.

This year our family programme includes:

· The Saltire Ceilidh, Archerfield Walled Garden – 25 November

A fun family ceilidh accompanied by delicious local food.

· Children’s Twilight Golf, Dunbar Golf Club – 26 November

A fun golf clinic for children of all abilities, playing in the dark with LED balls.

· Scotland Through the Ages, The Brunton – 26 and 27 November (this is a free event for children)

With living history performances throughout the day, this is a fun, educational event, which tells the tales of Scotland’s heritage

· Comedy Club for Kids, Macdonald Marine Hotel – 27 November

A fun afternoon of comedy for the kids: guaranteed laughs, without the rude bits!
