10-10.30 ICT – I loved reading all your news, it made my day! Using your password log into Google classroom and answer the question I have set. Tell me which sea creature you chose to research and share some information with me about it. Follow the simple instructions I have given.
11-12.15 Numeracy – Using your number cards to 30, in random order ask your child to identify each one, next call out a number within 30, using your number book, ask your child to write it and then write the next 3 numbers in forward sequence. Money – make a little shop with goods for sale, collect some objects and price them between 1p and 10p, play shops with 1 person being the shop keeper and 1 person being the shopper. The shopper has to use coins to buy goods and the shop keeper must check to see the correct money has been given. If you have a printer you can print out the worksheet below for your child to complete, if you don’t your child can write down each coin’s amount and draw correct coin beside it. Please show your child a £2 coin and explain that it has the same value as 2x £1
1.15-2.45 Handwriting – the focus is on joining blends, remind your child the sound these blends make oa and ng. Write a line of oa, joining the 2 sounds together, write a line of ng, joining the 2 sounds together. Write these words, joining the blends, 1 line for each word, pay attention to letter size and formation and use a sharp pencil. Remember the date. goat, boat, moat sing, ding, ring. This story was one from the Bookbug bag gifted by The Scottish Book Trust earlier in the year. Your child can find their own copy of the story and re-tell it to you using the pictures. Ask your child to draw Andrew, the horse from the story, and write what happens next to him.
