Scottish Assembly

We will be holding a special Scottish Assembly this Thursday – the 27th of January at 9.15 – in the school hall.  The children have been learning Scottish poems to recite.  There will also be some other Scottish themed entertainment.  Parents and family members are welcome to join us.

Class Blogs

Remember to check out our class blogs.  Just click on either nursery, infant area (Primary 1, Primary 1/2 and Primary 2), middle area (Primary 3 and Primary 4) or upper area (Primary 5, 6 and 7) in the bar to the left.  Please leave comments on things you have found interesting.  Your comments mean a lot to the children and encourage much discussion and enthusiasm in class.  Primary 4 have recently posted about their work on time in maths, and there is a fab blog about their farm project.  The Primary 1 blog has recently been updated with some super sunset pictures and a blog all about a challenge that Onion (a forest elf) set the children!  Enjoy!

Severe Weather Update

Parents and carers are advised that headteachers will make the decision as to whether they believe their schools can open depending on the weather conditions in the area. This will be done as early as possible tomorrow morning, and each morning thereafter.

At this stage, all schools are set to open on Monday, 29 November as normal, though parents and children are asked to be careful given likely underfoot conditions.

Any school closure announcement will be added to the East Lothian Council website and published through other local media, including Radio Forth, as soon as possible.

Open Day – Thursday 11th February 2010

Tomorrow, Gullane Primary is hosting an open day.  We will open our doors between 9.00 and 10.30 in the morning and between 1.30 and 3.00 (2.30 for infants) in the afternoon.  Come along to see classes in action and look at some brilliant displays showing how we learn at Gullane.  Primary 7 guides will be on hand to lead you around our school and talk to you about some of the things we get up to.
