We went outside on a couple of nice days and Mr McEwan taught us how to use a digital camera.
We took some photos in four groups and we had lots of fun. Some people learned how transfer the photos on to the computers and the rest of us did it another day.

Along with the rest of the school, P4 had a fantastic Grand Day Out at Beecraigs Park near Linlithgow yesterday.
We had a lot of fun and were glad the weather was good. Thanks also to Hannah and Joshua’s mum for helping.

On Tuesday the whole school had a 70s day to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of the school building we are in being opened.
We did 70s P.E and in class listened to and sang 70s songs.
During our Mary Queen of Scots Topic we all enjoyed the 2 Drama Sessions taught by Mrs Davidson our Drama Specialist.

The P4s all enjoyed the whole Sports Day which was organised a few weeks ago by the P7s.

Early on this year, p4 planted some potatoes as part of the Super Sonic Spuds Project organised by the RHET.
On Monday this week we were excited to harvest our potatoes.

This morning on Monday 19th of June 2017 we Matthew and Alasdair helped Mr McEwan by showing a group at a time how to weigh the potato harvest from the potato plant left outside.

We went outside to see the potato plant that we had grown outside.
We actually saw some really big potatoes!! Sandy & Joshua lifted the potatoes out!
Then we all went right in to get some potatoes!

We went into the nursery garden today, and cut open the plastic bottles we had kept in the classroom with scissors. We found in Bottle One: 3 small potatoes, but no big potatoes.
In Bottle Two we found: 7 small potatoes, but no big potatoes AGAIN!!!!

We planted some rocket potatoes before Spring for the competition.
On Monday we harvested them and weighed the potatoes.
The biggest potato was 115 grams and the smallest was 5 grams from the ones we harvested from the plant that grew outdoors.
