Haddington Consultation Launched

A Consultation on the proposed closure of Haddington Infant School & King’s Meadow Primary School and the establishment of a new Primary School from August 2018 (or as soon as possible thereafter) has begun.  The Consultation closes on 26 February.

We’re holding our Annual General Meeting on Monday 25th September 2017, 7pm within the School’s Staff Room. 

Always delighted to welcome anyone new, the Parent Council is a friendly group of parents/carers which supports the school in its work with parents.

We play a key role in consulting with and reporting to the wider parent audience.  The Parent Council represents the views of parents to the Head Teacher, East Lothian Council and Education Scotland and promotes contact between the school, parents, pupils, nursery education providers and the community.

Parent Council AGM – Thursday 22nd September, 7pm

The AGM of the Parent Council takes place on Thursday 22nd Sept from 7pm-9pm within the School Staff Room.   The Parent Council’s role is to

  1. Support the School in its work with parents/carers.
  2. Gather and represent the views of parents to the Head Teacher, Education Authority and Education Scotland.
  3. Promote contact between the school, parents, pupils, providers of nursery education and the community.
  4. Be involved in the appointment of senior staff.
  5. Consult with and report to the Parent Forum.

We are a friendly bunch who would be delighted to welcome any new faces to our meetings.  Please come along and get involved!
