First Friday club started well in Food prep last Friday. We learned how to use the sharp knives carefully and prepared fruit for a fruit salad. Since it was close to Halloween, we squeezed out the juice from an orange and made little jack o lanterns to hold our fruit 🙂
7B visited the John Gray Centre yesterday to find out about how the War affected East Lothian and Haddington. We discovered that bombs had been deposited over Haddington and the shops in the High Street were hit.
A highlight, for some, was getting to try on this replica Gas Mask to see what it would have felt like wearing one.
We have been hard at work in P5 continuing our Titanic Missions. I have attached a selection of photographs showing some of the work we have been doing and some of the end results.
This week the class have been working hard and using their Higher Order Thinking Skills while they have been learning about the Titanic. We have been completing our Fact Files and starting our passenger biographies. We have worn our “White” hats to find out facts and we’ve worn our “Green” hats to be creative.
