We’ve had a wonderful festive afternoon making our sock snowmen for the Christmas Fair on Friday.  It was lovely to see so many girls and boys helping each other out – a very supportive class 🙂

Miss Murray

This week we have enjoyed learning our Christmas Carols, our InCas tests and learning the months of the year in French.

We are looking forward to performing our Christmas Carols, making  our sock snowmen, watching the panto, learning more about Hinduism and the Christmas Fayre next week.

We also completed a newspaper article about a significant event in our lifes.

We have enjoyed ICT, Friday Clubs and the woodland workout.  We need to work on being quiet and listening – we need to make sure that one person talks at a time.  Most of us like doing the track instead of the pitch for our daily mile.

Billy and Emma

This week we took part in the trials for our Mock Court Project.  We went to Edinburgh Sheriff Court and conducted our trials.  Here are some of our highlights of our experience in a real court:

On Tuesday 10th Nov. the pursuers from P6D will be appearing against Forthview primary school at 1630 at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

On Thursday 12th Nov. the defenders from P6D will be appearing against St George’s School for Girls at 1630 at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

All the children have been working very hard on the case taking on the role of lawyers, witnesses, journalists, researchers, gown-makers and artists and we wish them all the best next week.

We should clean the floor after we have our story.  Perhaps we could play a game at the end of the day: you get 5 HPs if you pick up the litter that the teacher was thinking of!

We enjoyed acting out the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  Brodie enjoyed the daily mile.

Emma and Eleanor

This week we learnt how to have a small conversation in French.  We want to know more about French.

It is cool how we made up games in PE!

We did more work on times-tables.

It is cool how we went on the trip to the gallery in Edinburgh about the Mock Court.

Estelle and Kirstin

This week we want people to follow the Golden Rules.  In language we were doing antonyms.  We enjoyed doing the register in French.  Next time could everyone bring in their homework?  Also we need to pick up litter off the floor and we need to improve less talking.

This week was amazing.  We got a visit from the people that will helping us with the mock court project.  In topic we were learning about reflections.  We had to play a fun game called shiny or dull and we had to find out what was shiny and dull.  In handwriting we are getting really good at cursive but hope to get better.  In French we did the register it was fun.  In music we had to listen to a piece of music and say how we felt.  On Friday we wrote the class blog.
