ECO Day
The whole school took part in an ECO day. We had an ECO treasure hunt in teams, follow the clues and bring back a piece of ECO treasure. Then parents and Richard English joined us for a ‘Community’ Litter pick up. There is never much litter in Humbie -Thankyou everyone!
In the afternoon we made ‘mini beasts’ from natural resources found in the wildlife garden.
Health Week In Humbie Nursery
Everyone in the Nursery had a lovely walk to Blegbie Farm on Thursday of Health Week.It was a very long walk and we were very pleased when we got there.
New Bench
A new garden bench has been donated to the school by Michael Day Harvey, who uses reclaimed materials for his work. Thankyou!!
Flapjack Recipe
This is the recipe for the flapjacks that were enjoyed at the ‘big picnic’.
750g butter
450g golden syrup
500g soft brown sugar
1kg porridge oats
Melt butter, sugar and syrup, mix in the oats.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 160/gas3 for 25-35 mins.
(They should look seriously under cooked )
Cover with a clean tea towel and leave overnight or a whole day.
Cut into squares.
We halved the quantities and still made lots!
