The following has been issued by East Lothian Council
All schools to remain closed on Thursday (7 January)
All schools in East Lothian will remain closed to pupils on Thursday 7 January as the result of continuing severe weather conditions and the prospect of further snow predicted for the area this evening (Wednesday).
The position will be reviewed again tomorrow afternoon, although the aim is that schools will re-open again on Friday 8 January. Further updates will appear on this website and on local radio.
I was briefly at the school this morning and there is 6 inches of snow around the school and the play area is very dangerous. It is hoped we will be in a position to open on Friday morning. If you are a parent thereare good links for learning on the school site that could be used, If not then sledging is a really good option. I recommend Spott farm area, or Winterfield if you live in Dunbar.
