Innerwick and Stenton have a morning to remember

Innerwick and Stenton partnership schools came together today to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day. Pupils from both schools presented aspects of their learning, including, literacy, artwork, drama, social studies and music; demonstrating an understanding of and sensitivity to the sacrifices made by previous generations, and an appreciation of the need for peace and reconciliation in our world. Families and friends of both communities¬†joined to share this event, and enjoyed the opportunity to socialise afterwards. Much thanks goes to Rev. David Smith for hosting at Stenton parish church, as well as Rev. Suzie ¬†Fletcher for her contribution. In particular, I’d like to express my pride and thanks to all the children and staff across both schools for their hard work in making this such a special occasion.
