Innerwick Primary School is currently in the process of developing an initiative, with the help of Martin Bell, Active Schools Co-Ordinator, called Playground Pals.

The main aim of the the Playground Pals initiative, apart from encouraging these healthier and more active playtimes was to develop a more focused playtime that encouraged harmonious play and reduced the potential for minor disputes.

Martin came into school for a number of sessions to teach our older pupils playground games, to encourage safe play, encourage lots of activitiy, to help the children to be fair and how to look after play equipment.

We will be purchasing new playground games/toys for the playground at the start of our next school session to ensure that this new initiative continues to develop!
