  1. I think the kingdom of heaven is pure happiness throughout your life. A handful of the quotes or ‘clues’ that Jesus said gave me the idea of happiness.

    ‘Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.’

    I think this statement is trying to say that when you are rich you can have everything you ask for, and you don’t appreciate it as much as someone who has a limited amount of money that is happy as long as they have got family, heath and the bear minimum.

    ‘Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the Kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.’

    This quote means that people who make others do stuff that they are not happy with doing or making them not be themselves (a little like not being free.) Jesus is saying that whoever makes other people unhappy will never be happy themselves.

    ‘Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of god has come with power.’

    This clue really gave me a hint that the Kingdom of Heaven is happiness because you have happiness all through your life even if you only get a glimpse of it.

    ‘Kingdom of heaven’

    Kingdom= Big part of the world
    Heaven= Being happy with yourself and others

    Kingdom of heaven= Being happy with yourself and others is a big part of your life!

  2. I think that he is saying that every race and gender is allowed into heaven.

    for the king who wants to settle accounts with the servants i believe it means if there is a problem it should be settled.

    for the man who plants a mustard seed he is saying that you must look after everyone and heaven starts small but grows to be big and great.

    for the merchant looking for fine pearls i think it means that heaven looks for the finest people in the world who have done good deeds.

    for the commands and teaches one i think if you teach people well and obey the rules you will be called great in the kingdom of heaven

    for the little children one i think it means kids are harmless and cute so heaven what’s people that cause no harm to the world. Children see things quite simply.

    I think that what he is saying is that heaven takes every race and gender. As long as you have done good deeds and if you teach people right from wrong. And that heaven wants people to be more like little children so they are kind and see the world as it is. And if there is a problem it should

  3. Jesus talked about the kingdom of heaven almost in riddles.For example he said: ‘Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is The Kingdom of Heaven’ What he meant by this was, those who stand up for what they believe in, even, if they are mocked or even hurt both physically and mentally because it, will be awarded with the gift of heaven.

    Jesus also said ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.’ In this metaphor:
    The man-> God
    The seed-> The word/ heaven
    The field-> The world
    This means heaven has easy access if you take the time to try.

    Another message jesus gave was ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.’ This means once you have found The Kingdom of Heaven nothing else matters. It’s all you need. Everything that would be considered as a ‘must have’ is worthless, useless, completely unimportant.

    It’s of popular opinion that heaven is up in the clouds, even floating through the sky! (This isn’t close to what Jesus said! Just someones interpretation which common culture decided they liked!) No one really knows what heaven is like, infact, facts that had been more or less confirmed for years have been proved wrong. Jesus said Heaven wasn’t a place, more of a time. Heaven is whatever you want it to be. A place to spend time with God.

  4. Jesus said that
    ”Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into a lake and caught all kinds of fish.”
    What he was saying was that the net is representing heaven and the fish are representing many different people and anybody can enter the kingdom of heaven and he also said a lot in other quotes like who, what, when and where you can enter heaven.In another quote he said
    “Again the kingdom of heaven is like and merchant looking for fine pearls.”
    In this quote Jesus is saying that the pearl are representing heaven and the merchant is representing the people who try hard to get to heaven.

    In one of Jesuses quotes he says
    “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.”
    In this heaven is represented by the product of the seed and the man represents man and what Jesus is saying is that you have to care and work towards heaven like you would and seed.

    In one of his other quotes he says
    “Therefor the kingdom of heaven is like and king who wants to settle accounts with his servants”
    He says that if you want to get to heaven you must give others what you have.

    He also said
    “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field – when and man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy sold all he had and bought that field.”
    And what he is saying is that the man found that heaven was better than what he was doing and it was more valuable than what he had so he sold all his possessions.

    My last quote by Jesus is when he said.
    “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
    What he says is that God will bless those who are persecuted because they believe and follow God.

    In conclution I belive that Jesus ment heaven is and place only reached when you are doing or working towards it.As God will chose you if you work hard and follow his path or way.I also think he ment anyboby can join heaven because God does not care as long as you follow and belive in him.

  5. The Kingdom of Heaven

    I think the kingdom of heaven is a place for a select group of people to go after they die. The people that are allowed in are not dictated by their race or age, and Jesus makes this clear my saying ‘Heaven is like a net that has been let down and catches all kinds of fish’ but are chosen by how helpful, caring and thoughtful they are. Aggressive and unhelpful humans that commit crime and don’t follow his rules won’t be allowed in the kingdom of heaven.

    God is the king of heaven, and he owns it. He gets to choose who is allowed in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus never really gave us any clues to what the kingdom of heaven actually is, but society has given us the idea of men and women dressed in white robes walking on clouds with halos over their heads, looking down on the world.

    Jesus once said ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a seed that a man sowed in his field.’ What he means by this is that the seed needs care and the right stuff to grow symbolizing that heaven won’t just be handed to you on a plate. After a seed has grown, it will produce food, flowers and beautiful plants. This means that once you get into heaven, there will be great rewards.

    In his last point, he says ‘There are some that will not taste death before they see heaven’. This means that some people may see heaven just before they die, almost as if their soul is being transported up to heaven. It could also mean that some people see heaven from birth. The seven disciples could have been these type of people: a select group chosen at birth by god to help Jesus.

    I don’t believe in heaven, but if i was a christian this would be what i would think heaven is. If you didn’t believe in religion all together, the argument would come up that people could have made up this idea of heaven as a sense of security. One of the worlds big questions is what happens when we die, and the fear of unknown is the most powerful fear there is. So humans, looking for not an answer, just something to put their minds at ease, could have made this idea up, creating a false sense of security.

  6. Kingdom of Heaven

    The kingdom of heaven I think is after when you die it’s a place where your spirit goes and it lives their but your body stays in the ground. When your spirit goes and lives there and there is a king that rules the place and looks after everyone. Jesus said “that you see the kingdom of heaven before you die.” Which I think means when you imagine things in your sleep (dream) if you’re in a place that’s the kingdom of heaven.

    Or maybe your living it right now your life could be the kingdom of heaven. It’s like having two lives on that your living just now because you’re living in a kingdom full of lots of different people. And your second life is when you die and your spirit goes to heaven but not really ruled by a king because there might not even be one there. When you die its not just a place that is for well off rich people it can be for all other kinds of people, so if its only rich people that are allowed there where are everyone else going to go.

    Another one I think if mean people are being horrible to you then you should just shut them off. Slam a door in their face just ignore them. Make them understand what they have done to you not what you have done to them. Trying to teach a lesson is a kingdom (like a school) doing what’s wrong and what’s right. And if you don’t do the right thing you will get sent to a person that’s in charge of something then they will take action and make sure that everything’s ok and looks after the place.

  7. WHAT I THINK JESUS MET BY THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
    Jesus talked about the Kingdom oh Heaven in many stories and he spoke in riddles so that we have to use our brains to think. I believe Jesus is saying that the Kingdom of Heaven is a place on earth that is the only essential you need in life and to experience the Kingdom of Heaven you have to earn it.
    For example, when Jesus talks about about the Kingdom being a treasure hidden in a field.I believe he means you need to work hard and by doing that, you earn a ticket to Heaven. He goes on to say that the man hid the treasure again, went home and sold everything then bought the field containing the treasure. I think Jesus is saying this because the people who appreciate what they have will find the Kingdom of Heaven and those who just keep wanting more and more won’t as they don’t appreciate things.
    I think Jesus is trying to explain that as long as you are a kind and good person you will visit the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus is trying to welcome all kinds of people.
    I think the the Kingdom of Heaven is actually on earth and that it is only for the people who care. They will enjoy life more than the people who crave.
    In conclusion, the people who care will be cared for in return no matter what they believe in.Being cared for is is part of the Kingdom of Heaven which i believe is a state of mind in which everything is good but not perfect since nothing in life really ever is perfect.

  8. I wasn’t here.

    When he talks about a “net going in to lake to collect all types of fish” I think he means that everyone is welcome no matter what you have done in your life time example if you have done something bad in your life your still welcome but some people will be called to the kingdom of heaven first those people are teachers of the commands of god and the people who set aside one of the least of these commands will be called least in the kingdom of heaven.

    When he says “ Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants”. I think he means that the kingdom of heaven is a place of freedom, so it seems like he is saying that if you were a house servant he is saying that you have a second life of freedom.

    When he says “ the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls”. I think he means that you are never going find it straight away it is going to take you along time and to link on to that when he says you will see the kingdom of heaven before you die he means that you can find it just like you can find fine pearls.

    So I think he is saying that the kingdom of heaven is not a place which most people think it is. Most people think it’s a place where you go when you die, but he said that it is somewhere you see before you die.

  9. Jesus was trying to say the kingdom of Heaven is is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught fish of all kinds. I think its saying god lets in people of all races and cultures.The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. Its saying that only people who have done good things are getting picked to get in to the kingdom of heaven.The kingdom of heaven

  10. I think that Jesus tried to explain what he wanted we, followers, believers, humans to understand what the kingdom of heaven was, in small messages. I believe that Jesus wanted everyone to know that it does not mater what you look like, but what you are like as a human being, to enter the Kingdom Of Heaven. What I mean is that Heaven is open to many different varieties of people not just a certain group.

    When Jesus was saying what he was looking for in a human being, he used the terms “ A merchant looking for fine pearls ”. I believe this statement means that Jesus was looking for the purist, most genuine, kindest people on this earth and not from an image perspective. Because Heaven is supposed to be filled with people that have lived their lives to the full, while respecting, helping and cherishing everything they owned and everyone they met.

    In the message “ Blessed are those who are prosecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom Of Heaven” I think that Jesus was telling we, humans, followers and believers that those who sacrificed their lives in order to keep the message forever going were given almost a second chance, this being in the Kingdom Of Heaven. Because of them never backing down, never letting someone else changes their frame of mind and for always respecting, they were rewarded because their lives ended too quickly, but in the honour of GOD.

    The statement “ Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom Of Heaven”, To me, this means that you will have to become more innocent, forgiving, naive, and open to different views, like the qualities of a child, to enter the Kingdom Of Heaven. This is because too many humans are becoming stubborn and thinking that they are always right, but you should always be open to new ideas.

    Over all I feel that you need to be yourself and I think that these messages can sometimes make you feel like you are being controlled and not who you truly are. But I think that if you have some of these qualities and your own personality then you can work on getting the rest and as long as you are enjoying yourself and at the same time respecting, being kind and all the other qualities above then the Kingdom Of Heaven should be on your way.

  11. Jesus often talked about this “Kingdom of Heaven” in lots of little riddles and stories. Although they were short they had very complex meanings and many people struggle to understand what he is trying to say.

    For example he said:
    “Once again, the Kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all types of fish.”

    I believe that this is Jesus stating that it is not only one type of person that can gain access the the Kingdom and that it doesn’t matter their beliefs or background. However it is the type of person that you are/have been that determines whether they are a candidate for heaven or not.

    Another thing Jesus said is:
    “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”

    I think by this he meant that only pure and genuine people will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. People that are innocent, happy and inexperienced/unknowing as this will mean that they could learn his teachings and the Kingdom would be filled with joy and be clean of all sadness.

    He also says;
    “The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.”

    From this we can draw many things that Jesus is suggesting, for example:
    I believe that he is saying that the Kingdom of Heaven is something you cannot only taste in death but in life itself. Although, in order to reach the Kingdom you must completely devote yourself to it and be willing to give up everything you own as this shows the strength of your faith in god.

    When he says;
    “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.”

    I believe that this is Jesus saying that its people like himself (he sacrificed himself for us as he was persecuted for righteousness) who will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. He uses the word “theirs” which is very powerful as this is a posessive word therefore it means that the Kingdom belongs to them for they have stood up for what they believe it right.

  12. Kingdom of Heaven

    First of all, I think Jesus portrayed the meaning of the ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ through lots of different quotes.

    For example , when jesus said;
    “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought hat field.”
    I think that the field represents a happy and spiritual life of someone. the man in this story is to represent a non-spiritual life of someone. When the man found the treasure (representing heaven) he desired it. he kept it hidden away for so long as he didn’t want anybody to find what he had found. At the end, when the ordinary man decided to buy the field it shows that christianity changed his life forever and he wanted to live as a christian and devote all that he has just to do so.

    “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven.”
    When someone would first read it they would firstly assume that adults would not be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I think that it isn’t that they cant enter but that they are not adventures enough to be able to find it. Jesus is trying to say that to deserve the Kingdom you have to go looking for it and for that you have to believe in it and want to go there. There is a Kingdom of Heaven but if you want to be involved you have to be devoted, do some work and find it yourself. Just like what Mr Hopley always sais in Maths – teachers open the door , but we have to walk through it ourselves. This is one of the main ingredients for Christians – to believe.

    That links nicely onto my final quote;
    “Once again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.”
    The Kingdom of Heaven was specifically hidden so that only the adventures once could find it. When the fish are caught they are surprised as they didn’t know that there was anything like it as they let it take them gracefully , even though it is from what they have known to love.

    Most importantly I think the Kingdom of Heaven is something that you have to believe in and to go looking for.

  13. Jesus tells us about heaven in riddles. There are many thoughts on what they mean.

    For example in one of the stories it talks about a man who sowed a seed and a good plant grew from it. I think what he was suggesting is that you have to work for a good result, as in if you lived a life where you had made no mistakes you would end up in heaven at the end of your journey, a good place.

    I also think that you can go to/see heaven during your life. In the story where he talks about the man who gave up everything because he found treasure, in the story the treasure represents heaven. The man found heaven and it was better than anything he had before so he devoted the rest of his life to heaven. In this sense it is thought to be a clarity in life showing a man what to do.

    Another story tells us about a man who casts a net into a lake and gathers a variety of fish, I think this quote connotes that The Kingdom of Heaven is willing to accept anyone into it, no matter weather they are criminals, different raced or have different beliefs. The fish represent the people and the net represents The Kingdom, Jesus is showing us here that the only things that matter are, you, your personality and your soul.

    When Jesus talks about the woman who worked at the yeast and flower so long that it turned into dough, he is talking about the dough being the Kingdom of Heaven and the woman had to work so hard to get to that stage but she finally did it, she found heaven. I think this symbolises the woman working hard at being a good person and doing the right things in life before she could get to The Kingdom of Heaven.

    The moral of these stories is that you really need to be a good person, have a good conscience and take the right path in life. It is all about who you are on the inside, your soul and personality. You need to work hard at life to get to the goal, which is heaven.

  14. Kingdom of Heaven

    When Jesus talks bout the Kingdom of Heaven I think he is saying is that reaching the Kingdom of Heaven is like trying to reach your goals. In one respect it is easy and you know what you are aiming for and what you want out of it but it can also be really hard work. You know what you are aiming for and you try really hard but you don’t see results then talk yourself out of your goal because it seams unrealistic or like you will never reach it. I think he is talking about the Kingdom of Heaven like this. You want to reach it but you never know if you will get there you may try and talk yourself out of it asking yourself “Is it even real?” or “Will I even get there?”. You may be able to push the negative thoughts out your head and tell yourself that you will get there or you will reach your goal and keep going, or you may not be able to and will give up. The thing with goals is that they never leave your head. Its like they are haunting you and are trying to tell you to keep going and you will make it. So eventually you try again to reach your goal. It all goes round in a circle till you eventually reach your goal. I think he is saying that you have to work really hard and keep going even if you don’t see results or think you will never reach there because you will eventually and it will be worth all the hard work. Even if you give up temporarily or forget about it you will always turn back to it and keep trying.

    The Kingdom of Heaven is like a clarity. This is because in all the stories he is saying that the people left all what they had and found their clarity, the clarity being the Kingdom of Heaven. Like with a goal you will eventually reach it and find your clarity. I think it is a clarity that only you reach. Your Kingdom of Heaven that you reach. Because no one else can reach your goals for you it is the exact same with the Kingdom of Heaven. It is different to others because your thoughts and opinions are different. You find it at a different time from anyone else and you go through different things to reach it. You are the only one who can reach your goals and you are the only one who can reach your Kingdom of Heaven, your clarity that shows you what you want and why and how and everything. All the things that you have wanted such as all your goals you have what you want after you achieve them, with the Kingdom of Heaven you have clarity of what you want and why and how and everything. You always reach your goals is you try even if it takes a while so you will eventually find the Kingdom of Heaven.

  15. Was not here
    The kingdom of heaven is an after-life that accepts all types of people.
    Jesus states “some of you who are standing here today will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God has come with power” by his he means that people will see God and talk to him before death. I think he means that you will see the kingdom of heaven in your prayers.

    The kingdom of heaven accepts all types of people, its not decided by their age or race he puts this forward by saying “The kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish” although people that are unhelpful, aggressive, humans that commit crimes and people who don’t make the world a better place will not be accepted into the kingdom of heaven, neither are teachers of the law and pharisees, Jesus calls them “hypocrites” and says they have “shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces” and they will not be aloud into the kingdom of heaven and neither will the he people who have tried to and been denied by the teachers of the law and pharisees. Jesus says “unless you change and become like little children you will not enter the kingdom of heaven” by this he means that people need to be like little children because little children pick up a lot, listen well, be respectful and show extreme love to their parents. People need to show extreme love to God to enter the kingdom of heaven. People who practice and teach commands will be called a great in the kingdom of heaven.

    The kingdom of heaven is a place owned by God, God is the king of heaven. Jesus says “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son” I think Jesus means that God is the king and the son is all the people who have been accepted into the kingdom of heaven and God treats his children well. Another quote that backs this point up is “For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard” he means that God wants to find lots of people and give them the opportunity to enter the kingdom of heaven.

    Jesus states “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he did it again, and then in his joy went and soul all he had and bought that field” I think he means that one people have found that treasure that is God that they want to visit that field again and again and again and then the put everything into owning that felling and when you own that feeling you have felt the power of the kingdom of heaven.

    In summary, the kingdom of heaven accepts all types of people into the kingdom of heaven. But people have to been good and benefit people around them, and they will be accepted into the kingdom of heaven. People can reach the kingdom of heaven before death, futhermore people thing the kingdom of heaven can only be reached post death but it can be found before death. In the kingdom of heaven God treats all with love and gives everyone the opportunity of entering and finally the kingdom of heaven in a place that everyone loves and adores and is everyones paradise.
