The buses are leaving Perth now (11.15am) and expect to be at law at 12.45pm.
The good weather is holding and the children are sleeping well. It’s hard to believe that they will be home tomorrow! No further news- so all must be well.
Mrs Wareham has been in touch this morning to say all is well at Lagganlia. The children slept well (she didn’t mention the staff!) and the sun is shining again this morning. It is strangely quiet in school!
Our P7 pupils have arrived safely at Lagganlia and no-one was sick! The forecast is good and they are looking forward to a great week.
The February Newsletter is now out, you’ll find it on the Newsletter page.
The weary campers are on their way and due in North Berwick about 4.30pm, traffic permitting. I think it will be a quiet journey if they are all asleep! We’re looking forward to hearing their stories when they are back in school next week.
The church service for P5 & P6 is at 1pm today in The Abbey Church and the service for P3 and P4 is at 1.45pm in St Andrew Blackadder. Parents are very welcome at both services. The first service will finish in time for you to cross the road to the second service if you have children in both. If you want still more Christmas, come and hear P5,6 and 7 singing carols in the back playground at 2.45pm!
The bus left Loch Inch slightly ahead of schedule at 1.15pm and should be back at school at 4.30pm, traffic permitting. Stand by for tired children and lots of washing!
You are invited to come along to school on Tuesday 10th September at 7pm to meet your child’s teacher. This is a new event which we have introduced this year and is intended as an informal opportunity for you to meet the teacher and put a face to the name at an early stage of the term. This is in addition to Parental Consultations which will be held in the week commencing 7th October. By October the class teacher will have a greater understanding of your child as a learner and this later meeting is the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress to date.
Please arrive by the main entrance whereupon you will be directed to your child’s classroom. There will be a short talk by the class teacher outlining what to expect in the coming year in terms of the curriculum, homework, special events and how you can support your child’s learning. After this initial talk there will be an opportunity to look around the classroom and ask any questions.
We appreciate that some parents may have more than one child at school and in these circumstances suggest that you go in the first instance to the class at the stage that you are least familiar with or want to find out most about. Please feel free to dip in and out of several classes where you have more than one child at school.
The evening will finish by 8pm.
The group have arrived safely in Pitlochry after a great drive up (and no-one was sick!). They have claimed their beds and are exploring the hostel. Let’s hope the weather warms up a bit for them.
The group has had a great time and the weather has been kind. They left Pitlochry about 3.45pm and expect to be in North Berwick at 6.30pm. We’re sure they will be looking forward to telling you all about their experiences!
