P6’s are starting Victorians and the homework we have done so far is research of victorian kids and what they used to do.

Due to the continuing severe weather conditions, it has been confirmed that ALL East Lothian schools will remain closed to pupils on Wednesday 1 December. Major efforts to open up safe access routes to schools will continue during the course of tomorrow (Wednesday). East Lothian Council appreciates that these closures are causing major inconvenience to parents and carers. However, every effort is being made to re-open schools in the face of severe weather conditions and transport difficulties.
Further updates for this week will be added here in due course with information also being available on Radio Forth, the East Lothian Council website.

Law Primary’s ECO committee are taking part in the `Give Every Child a Voice’ campaign. The aim is to collect 250 old mobile phones. If we reach this target £500 will be donated to the charity Childline and the school will also receive a class set of interactive handsets which can be used with our interactive whiteboards. It is a fantastic recycling campaign for a good cause.
If you do have an old mobile that you would like to donate it can be handed to a class teacher, there will also be collection boxes available during parents’ evenings. All donations will be most gratefully received.
Hi we are Flora and Ciara your Junior Road Safety Officers for this year. You hopefully will remember us from when we spoke at your Assembly. We are here to help you understand the importance of being safe on the roads. We have a notice board in the middle area. Please have a look at it as you go past. We hope to run a competition in your area soon.
One of our jobs is to moniter the use of the turning circle. It is only supposed to be used for dropping off and picking up at Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club. We would like to ask PC Black to help us do a survey. We hope to make it a safer place.
