Water Fun

In P4 we have been finding out all about Water. The experiments we did in the classroom were great fun and not always what we expected. This week we were going to find out what materials dissolve in water and how to make it a fair test. Perhaps at home you could design your own experiment for dissolving and we could share this information at school next week.
Have fun and remember to check with an adult before starting this experiment.

Old Mobile phones needed

Law Primary’s ECO committee are taking part in the `Give Every Child a Voice’ campaign.  The aim is to collect 250 old mobile phones.  If we reach this target £500 will be donated to the charity Childline and the school will also receive a class set of interactive handsets which can be used with our interactive whiteboards.  It is a fantastic recycling campaign for a good cause.
If you do have an old mobile that you would like to donate it can be handed to a class teacher, there will also be collection boxes available during parents’ evenings.  All donations will be most gratefully received.

Our Castle Topic P4c

We have been working hard to turn our classroom into a castle. In our groups we used books, leaflets and the internet to research for castle information. We have found out many fascinating facts especially when we visited Dirleton Castle  with our guide  Mr Andrew Spratt. Our artwork is on display in the classroom , we hope you like our photographs.

Knitting in P4

In P4 we have been knitting during our lunch break on Tuesdays. It has been hard work but great fun. We have started our blanket but still need many more squares to complete it.

Concentrating on our knitting skills.
Enjoying knitting in the sunshine.
