It has been a very exciting time in the Sensory Garden at Law Primary School. With the help of the Gardening Club, P4a and P4b have been creating a Minibeast Hotel, a safe and warm place for the bugs to hibernate over the winter.
Law Gardening Club is preparing to start for the new term. The club was started by parents and we need your continued support to enable the club to keep going. This term p4 will be building a mini beast hotel, we will be harvesting produce planted last term and starting to plant more flowers and vegetables. If you would be able to help please read the attached flyer and get in touch.

We have been working hard to turn our classroom into a castle. In our groups we used books, leaflets and the internet to research for castle information. We have found out many fascinating facts especially when we visited Dirleton Castle with our guide Mr Andrew Spratt. Our artwork is on display in the classroom , we hope you like our photographs.
In P4 we have been knitting during our lunch break on Tuesdays. It has been hard work but great fun. We have started our blanket but still need many more squares to complete it.
The P1s were transported into the magical world of light last week during a visit by Generation Science. They entered the ‘dome’ and learnt about white light and rainbow light, sources of light and the sun and the stars. They saw a disco light that turned around, a mirror ball that reflected the light and played with a torch and shadows. Wow! What a fantastic experience!!
All staff at Law Primary would like to wish every pupil and their families a very happy Easter holiday.
We look forward to seeing you all back in school bright eyed and bushy tailed on Tuesday 20th April.
Today the whole school got involved in a Malawi Day in order to raise money for the school kitchen we are helping to fund.
Everyone dressed in the colours of Malawi flag and there were lots of different learning activities going on all around the school including a Malawi Maths challenge.
Click this link to find out more details about what went on (Task 2).
The pupils will share their learning experiences and feelings about the day in their comments.
Primary 4 got the chance to buy fairtraded items at our fairtrade shop in the middle area yesterday. It was very successful the P6’s were kept very busy.
4B have designed chairs in the style of Charles Rennie Macintosh. They come in all shapes, sizes and colours. They enjoyed looking at each others designs and assessed them. Watch this space for a selection of photos.
