Due to the October holidays, we will be asking for a quick turnaround, so forms need to be returned by next Wed (12th).

As always, we will be looking for lots of spooky adult helpers too, so if you can help, please click on this link and sign up:  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0a45afae2ba3fc1-monster1  OR fill in the information on the flyer when you get it.

Thank you!  The kids love this event, it’s always a great start to the Halloween celebrations!

PS There aren’t really any monsters….!!

Wee update…!

AGM this Thursday at the school!

Cauliflower Christmas Cards
Thank you to all our teaching staff and children for the lovely Christmas cards that are making their way home to you. The forms need to be completed and returned, along with payment, by this Friday (30th).  Cheques should be made payable to Law Primary PTA. If you have more than one child, please could you make separate payments for each, otherwise it makes it very difficult to check who has paid in each class. We will be sending all orders away at the beginning of next week.

Bake Sale – this Friday!
Lovely baking up for grabs this Friday at school pick up time in the p2/3/4 playground! All donations can be dropped off at the GP room at morning drop off.
We have also decided that as Friday is a national day for recognising the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support, we will be donating some of the profits to this great cause.
Please remember your pennies!

Thank you…and our first fundraiser of the year!

So it looks like we will have a Committee!!!!! Yay!!! Thank you very much to everyone who has offered to help us out. All will be confirmed at the AGM on the 29th.
In the meantime, however, we thought we’d get started on our fundraising for this year with a Bake Sale. Next Friday (30th September) at pick up time.
As always, all donations of baking are very much needed – please drop off at the GP Room in the morning.

Notification of PTA AGM

Notification of PTA AGM
Our AGM will be held on Thursday 29th September at 7pm in the GP room in the school.
Our agenda will run as follows:
1. Update from the chair as to what we’ve been doing in the last year
2. Treasurer’s report
3. Constitution of Committee
It will be held in conjunction with the Parent Council AGM and Anti-Bullying information evening.

We desperately need a new Chair for our PTA!

We are still looking for some key people to take on a role on our PTA Committee.  We have the following vacancies:

Chair – chairing meetings, generally making sure things happen when they should!

Vice Chair – a support to the Chair, with a view of becoming Chair in future

Events Coordinator – a planner, putting events into place, making sure everything is done (not necessarily by you!)

Volunteer Coordinator – making sure we have plenty of people to help at events and that they know what they’re doing

Full training and handover given, and a lovely bunch of people to work with!

Now, here come the puppy dog eyes….

mastiff-puppy-eyes-dogvacay

If we can’t fill these positions, then we won’t be able to function as a PTA, which will mean no fun activities for the children, and no fundraising.

So, please, please, please, help if you can.  Get in touch by emailing lawpta@googlemail.com.

If a Committee position is definitely not for you, please let us know that you can still help at events, or in the background, and we will get back to you.

Prize Draw Feedback

Law Primary Prize Draw

Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to the Prize Draw survey that we emailed out.

A fantastic 85% of you said that you would take part in a Prize Draw. So we have decided to launch it at this Saturday’s May Fair. Those interested in taking part can find the stand near the Raffle and Tombola and we hope to see lots of you there.  There’ll be more information about how the Prize Draw works at the stand.

More information about the Prize Draw will be available soon to anyone unable to be there on Saturday.

A few people told us they’d rather make a one off donation to the school. This can be done by using btmydonate (https://mydonate.bt.com/donation/start.html?charity=119687).  The benefit of doing this is that we can also claim Gift Aid through this means.

Thanks again for all your support and we look forward to seeing lots of you on Saturday.
