PE kit

Please could all P7s ensure they have the correct, labelled PE kit in school for their lessons on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

On Wednesdays, we will have PE as a year stage (led by the P7 teachers) first thing in the morning. We will often be going over to the Sports Centre where we have a booking from 9am. In order to maximise our PE time, we would like all P7 pupils to come to school in their PE kit. This means we can quickly register everybody and then start our PE lesson promptly without wasting time on getting changed. It is essential, however, that you bring your school uniform into school with you as everybody will be changing out of their PE kit once the lesson ends. It is also important that you dress appropriately for the weather: even though you are coming in PE kit, you will still need a coat; as the weather cools it might be best to come in joggers with your PE shorts beneath.

Environmental Impact Assessment – Whisk(e)y Bottle

woodland.jpg question-mark.jpg house-pic.gif
P7 have been considering the impact that building 500 houses on the Whiskey Bottle would have on the area itself as well as the town of North Berwick in general. We have had lots of different issues to consider and discuss before making a judgement on whether as a Planning Officer we would allow such a development to take place. Here are our views.

Art Extravaganza!

Yesterday Mrs Watson ( Katie` s mum, an art teacher from a High school in Edinburgh) came in and brought lots of interesting items with her. We had to use special paints and ink rollers and trays to create scenes of the river. The results were fabulous. What do you think?tmpphpgdx7gj.jpg  tmpphpnrm7ds.jpg

This term all pupils in P7 are doing some personal research on Rivers. Everyone has chosen something they would like to find out more about and we are working on our own or with some friends in class and at home. Its good to get the choice of what to research as well as working in groups. In our comments we will tell you all about it!

Winning Week for P7 Basketball and Football Teams

At the end of a very busy first week back for P7 we are celebrating another 2 sporting successes!
On Monday the Basketball Team won the Regional Primary Finals at Meadowmill. By winning all their games we played against Bridgend, West Lothian in the final and we won! Well done to all the team and reserves!

On Wednesday our Football team took part in the John Home Robertson Tournament at Meadowmill. Again the team won all their games and won the John Home Robertson Trophy too. This means that we completed the Cup Double by adding this to our victory in the Douglas Allan Tournament earlier this year. Congratulations to all the boys who took part!
Both teams were able to share their success with Middle and Upper area pupils at our assemblies this morning. Here are the winning teams.
