We’ve had a super day today! The sun has been shining all day! This morning after a traditional breakfast of hot chocolate and baguette, we made our way to Dieppe. Our first stop was the creperie! Yummy! We all enjoyed a crepe – some with sugar, some with chocolate. Many children ended up with very messy chocolatey faces!! We had a tour of the town and enjoyed a chance to go shopping. After lunch we visited the beach at Criel-sur-mer and finally enjoyed a tour of the local cider farm. We sampled some apple juice and found out how apple trees grow. After another traditional four course meal tonight we have played games on the field. It’s off to bed soon before a visit tomorrow to the beautiful historic city of Rouen.
Month: April 2013
Day One in France!
We set off this morning and travelled to France on the Euro Tunnel. After arriving in France we made our way to Nausicca – an amazing sea life centre featuring sharks, penguins and every kind of fish possible! We were even able to touch some in the handling area. After that we enjoyed an ice cream before heading to our chateau. We are now settled in and enjoyed a delicious 4 course dinner! Some evening activities now before bed time! Tomorrow we are visiting Dieppe and visiting a creperie!
Normandy Update
Following a restful night a quick journey took P7 across the channel and off to visit the aquarium . This was followed with sunshine and ice-cream and all are now settling into Chateau de Chantereine.

P7 Normandy Trip
P7 have the final instructions for our trip to Normandy and are hopefully on their way home to do their last minute packing. Just a reminder that we are leaving school at 10am on Sunday so see you here bright and early. Miss Skinner will collect in any last minute medication or euros when you arrive. Get lots of sleep and see you Sunday P7!
Drama Mill Summer School
The Summer holidays are nearly upon us and The Drama Mill would really love to offer children in the East Lothian area something different and exciting to do. So, we are setting up a fun-filled Summer School for children aged 5 to 12 with Drama, Art and Crafts, Singing, Dancing and lots of Games. The children will have the opportunity to work with guest tutors and put together their own show inclusive of all the things they’ve learnt and made during the week and perform it on the last day of the School.
This will run at Gullane Village Hall from the 22nd July until the 26th July. Spaces are limited, so if you are interested or would like more information, please contact Linda by email at lindadramamill@me.com or by telephone on 0795064175
