Day Two in France

We’ve had a super day today! The sun has been shining all day!  This morning after a traditional breakfast of hot chocolate and baguette, we made our way to Dieppe. Our first stop was the creperie! Yummy! We all enjoyed a crepe – some with sugar, some with chocolate. Many children ended up with very messy chocolatey faces!! We had a tour of the town and enjoyed a chance to go shopping. After lunch we visited the beach at Criel-sur-mer and finally enjoyed a tour of the local cider farm. We sampled some apple juice and found out how apple trees grow. After another traditional four course meal tonight we have played games on the field. It’s off to bed soon before a visit tomorrow to the beautiful historic city of Rouen.

Day One in France!

We set off this morning and travelled to France on the Euro Tunnel. After arriving in France we made our way to Nausicca – an amazing sea life centre featuring sharks, penguins and every kind of fish possible! We were even able to touch some in the handling area. After that we enjoyed an ice cream before heading to our chateau. We are now settled in and enjoyed a delicious 4 course dinner! Some evening activities now before bed time! Tomorrow we are visiting Dieppe and visiting a creperie!

Drama Mill Summer School

Drama Mill Summer School

The Summer holidays are nearly upon us and The Drama Mill would really love to offer children in the East Lothian area something different and exciting to do. So, we are setting up a fun-filled Summer School for children aged 5 to 12 with Drama, Art and Crafts, Singing, Dancing and lots of Games. The children will have the opportunity to work with guest tutors and put together their own show inclusive of all the things they’ve learnt and made during the week and perform it on the last day of the School.

This will run at Gullane Village Hall from the 22nd July until the 26th July. Spaces are limited, so if you are interested or would like more information, please contact Linda by email at or by telephone on 0795064175

P7 Kingswood Trip

P7 Parents and Pupils are invited to a short talk on Wednesday 17th April at 6pm in the P7 area with Miss Skinner and Miss Bertram.  We will be discussing the arrangements for our forthcoming trip to Normandy including the travel plan, itinerary when we are in France and any last minute issues.  We look forward to seeing you all there.
