Happy 12th Birthday to Rhys, early birthday wake up call from his fellow campers, still don’t think he is awake or realised what was going on!
A fun filled day ahead.
Day 1 – We have had a great start to camp, weather amazing and food good too!
Everyone has enjoyed indoor climbing, then we took part in an evening game show which came to a nail biting end!
Hot chocolate then PJs on…here’s hoping for a quiet night!
Thanks for all the lovely messages, kids loving them. Sun is shining, lots of laughs and good times! All the kids have been complimented on their good manners, enthusiasm and resilience! Some groups were sailing, others skiing and problem solving. Also been to the shop and money is spent, so look forward to your presents!!!!
All arrived safely, well fed, rosy cheeks and lots of soggy clothes already! Kayaking and problem solving activities enjoyed by all. Just finished dinner and off to evening activity. Keep you posted.
On Friday 1st March Primary 7 presented a literacy assembly on Writing using the VCOP strategy. The VCOP strategy is all about thinking about Vocabulary, Connectives, Openers and Punctuation. By using WOW words, engaging sentence openers, good joining words and exciting punctuation you automatically make your writing so much more interesting.
Primary 7 had great fun sharing their learning about VCOP in assembly and have challenged the rest of the school to use this strategy in class to improve their own writing, otherwise the VCOP will be after you!
Therefore each day, every class will focus on one aspect of VCOP. We look forward to reading all of these great pieces of writing.
