Over the last few weeks Primary 6 have been taking turns to visit the nursery so that we can identify buddies for when the nursery children move on to school. Primary 6 will are now writing letters listing 3 choices of buddy from the nursery and the nursery children will be asked who they would like as their buddies. Using this information as well as staff observations we will hopefully able to announce the buddies next week. Here are a few photos of the Primary 6s helping to draw maps of the inside of the nursery today.

Using a map to hide and find treasure!
Today the Morning Group used maps of the nursery garden to hide jewels and mark the spot with an ‘x’. Our friends used the map to find the treasure.
Afternoon Group on the Trim Trail
The Afternoon Group had fun today using the equipment on the trim trail. We were developing our confidence and increasing control of our bodies. Some of the sections are tricky when you are quite small!
Mini Fundraiser – Win a hippo!
Win a cuddly ‘Silentnight’ hippo and duck.
£1 per try.
We have drawn a treasure map.
Try to find out which square holds the treasure! Write your name in a square and give your money to a staff member.
Winner will be announced before Easter.
Stay and Play
We would love to invite parents/carers to ‘Stay and Play’ with us for a session, or part of session if that suits you better. Please sign up on the Maisie calendar in the cloakroom. Your children love it when you are more involved and you can see how children learn in nursery through various activities and routines.
Experimenting with Forces
Both groups have been really interested in the magnets and finding different things they can stick to! Next week we shall be looking at the effect of the force of water and setting up some experiments with the big water tubes outdoors.
Sandwich makers
The Morning Group made a variety of sandwiches for snack this week. We used rolls, bread and wraps. We chose what different fillings we wanted on our sandwiches at circle time. We were very efficient at making sandwiches! Lots of us tried new foods, for example, lettuce, tomatoes and peppers. Here are a few photos of our production line!
